The Spartan Journey Begins
The Spartan Journey Begins
By The African Spartan – October 9, 2025
Today is more than just another day in camp. It’s my 22nd birthday, and it also marks something I’ve dreamed of for a long time — the official launch of my website and media hub: the home of The African Spartan.
This space was built not only to tell my story but to share the entire journey — every strike, every fall, every comeback, and every victory.
Welcome to the Media Hub
From now on, this section will be the heart of all updates. Here, you’ll find:
• Fight Highlights – from my early career bouts to international cards.
• Training Diaries – real, raw stories from the mats, camps, and grind.
• Behind-the-Scenes Moments – what happens beyond the cage: the discipline, the brotherhood, the laughter, and the lessons.
• High-Resolution Fight & Training Photos – from every corner of the world I train in — Nigeria, Thailand and beyond.
It will also host media-ready bios and press materials, making it easier for sponsors, journalists, and fans to follow the African Spartan journey as it grows.
A Moment of Gratitude
Looking back on how far I’ve come, I’m filled with gratitude — to my family, my friends, loved ones, and to everyone who believes in my dream.
To my family, who have been my foundation through every challenge.
To my friends, who push me harder and stand with me through every high and low.
To my supporters and fans, the Spartan Army — your energy drives me every single day.
To my sponsors and partners, thank you for seeing beyond the fighter and believing in the vision.
To my coaches, mentors, and corners who sharpen my body and mind daily.
To my fellow fighters, who test me, teach me, and make me better.
And special respect to the TMA family and Bangtao Muay Thai & MMA, my training families — thank you for refining the Spartan spirit within me.
There are countless others who have contributed to this journey — gym partners, media crews, local supporters in Nigeria, and everyone who sends encouragement from across the world. You’re all part of this legacy.
What’s Next
This is just the beginning. The journey ahead is long, but every step - as far as this is possible, will be shared here and my other platforms, openly and honestly.
So stay tuned for more updates, fight announcements, and personal reflections. Follow along as I continue to train, evolve, and prepare for the next big step in my career — carrying Nigeria’s name into the UFC.
Thank you for being part of the Spartan journey.
Let’s build this legacy together.
Strength. Strategy. Spirit.

bio (For Press Kit)
It all begins with an idea.
Philemon Jeb Bitrus — The African Spartan — represents the new face of African MMA. Born and raised in Nigeria, Jeb embodies strength, resilience, and determination. At only 22 years old, he already commands an impressive professional MMA record of 7–1, with standout victories in prestigious events such as SFC Championship (2024), AFC Championship (2024), Eric Favre MMA (2025), and AKO Championship (2025).
Jeb’s ambition is clear: not only to win, but to redefine what it means to be a Nigerian athlete on the global stage. His journey is guided by discipline, national pride, and a vision to inspire millions of African youths. Over the next 24 months, his roadmap will take him through elite training camps in Asia and Africa, championship fights across continents, and ultimately, into the UFC by 2027.
Through African Spartans Global Sports Ltd., Jeb’s brand extends beyond the octagon. It is a movement — combining professional fighting, merchandise, sponsorships, training programs, and youth inspiration. Every fight, every camp, and every sponsorship is part of building a legacy for Africa in combat sports.
“This is not just about me. It’s about Nigeria standing tall on the global stage of MMA.” — The African Spartan
